As
@Grant_Blaisdell”s co-founder and mother, I’ve had a unique front-row seat to watching him build
@CopernicSpace and pursue a vision that was before anyone else.
Space has been part of our family for generations.
My father, Tadeusz Gajewski, helped build the original Polish space program, contributing to the efforts that ultimately made Poland the fourth nation to send a citizen to space. His work was published by NASA and helped inspire my own lifelong passion for space.
Grant grew up around those conversations, but he developed his own perspective.
While much of the industry focused on rockets, launches, and infrastructure, Grant became fascinated by a different question:
What happens when space itself becomes an asset class?
Years before the current conversations around tokenization, digital ownership, and the financialization of real-world assets, Grant was talking about a future where lunar payloads, mission rights, satellite assets, orbital compute, and other space assets could be owned, commercialized, fractionalized, financed, and traded globally.
That vision became the foundation of Copernic Space.
Today, as the SpaceX IPO brings unprecedented attention and institutional capital into the space economy, I can’t help but reflect on how many years Grant has spent working toward this moment.
The IPO is a watershed event for our industry.
Not simply because of the scale of SpaceX’s success, but because it validates that space has become a major economic frontier.
The next chapter is what happens after the rockets launch.
The ownership layer.
The transaction layer.
The markets that will emerge around the assets being created beyond Earth.
Through Copernic Space, Grant and our team have spent years helping define Real World Space Assets and building the infrastructure that enables broader participation in the space economy.
I’m incredibly proud of what he has accomplished and even more excited about what comes next.
The world is beginning to recognize the value of the space economy.
Soon, it will begin to recognize the value of the assets within it.
