Well my favourite gear company just called and my new microphone is IN and will be here by Friday. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas. Apparently today is the day of the plan coming together. #BoothUpdate

#BoothUpdate Aaaaand the ultra dense weight-room-in-a-gym style rubber matting I ordered just arrived. So that means everything ready for the build! Except for another pair of hands but I already have a volunteer.

#BoothUpdate The reinforcement is COMPLETE, the avant-garde Three Bags of Cement Left In The Rain (mixed media, 2020 Artist: Paul the Contractor) has been removed, presumably for sale at a private gallery and a check has been written. EXCITEMENT!

And speaking of floors, the reinforcement isn't done yet, but is progressing (I am told, *sigh*) so I can't assemble the booth until then as it would be too much weight over too small an area. #BoothUpdate

#BOOTHUPDATE! So, after much gentle prying with a very teensy crowbar, I have seperated what I thought was one piece into two. (Must have got very stuck together in shipping) So I think I have a floor??? Which is very helpful and useful and a cause for celebrating.

Anyway, not 100% certain yet (so please don’t tag them in) but it seems rather likely that they didn’t include.... the floor. Yeah. I am totally happy to be wrong. I solemnly swear if I am wrong I will shout it from the twitter rooftops. Please can I be wrong. #BoothUpdate

Okay so just for the record I have now triple checked all the boxes that came with this thing, and all the emails and I totally don’t have any assembly instructions at all. 😂 I’ll get on to them on Monday, I’m sure we can rustle something up. #BoothUpdate

Okay delivery scheduled for the ultra convenient 6:45am ferry on Friday! (Wasn’t given a range of options) THAT IS DEFINITE PROGRESS THOUGH. I shall tentatively celebrate. #BoothUpdate

Most importantly, my former boat-shed soon to be recording studio has these GIGANTIC DOORS in case I need to bring in any really heavy accents, overly large books, or otherwise unwieldy & massive manuscripts. #BoothUpdate
