Prayer flags and peace pennants outside the British Library. It’s always such a fantastic place to visit, or just to pop into to browse the shop…and there’s always something to see, both inside and out. @britishlibrary @BL_Shop

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Mughal court :-* The Vakil Report of Jaipur state, Prakaldas, has mentioned in his lawyer's report the appearance of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Mughal court and the appearance of the emperor by showing his back. Although it is mentioned in the "Treaty of Purandar" that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was not present in the Mughal court, but despite this, Chhatrapati came to Agra with his party. Prakaldas has mentioned in detail about the stature of infantry, elephants, cavalry and Chhatrapati. According to the lawyer report available in the Rajasthan Archives in Bikaner, Chhatrapati Shivaji was not given a place with the Supreme Mansab in the Mughal court, but was given a place in the court with five thousand castes and five thousand riders and Jasant Singh, who was defeated in the war, was given a place behind him. This made Chhatrapati turn red with anger and his eyes turned red. Mughal emperor Aurangzeb instructed Raja Ram Singh of Jaipur to know about Shivaji's health. When asked by Ram Singh, Chhatrapati said that - "I saw you, saw your father (Mirja Raja Jai Singh) and saw your husband (King)." If you want to kill me, then kill me, if you want to imprison me, then imprison me, but your husband's hand is not approved. After saying this, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj left the Mughal court, showed his back to the emperor and went away.
