The only two Swedish Flower chicks (Ragnar and Ingrid) to hatch are added to the brooder. Not only did they pip much later than the first three Icelandics, but they also had a much harder time zipping and popping out of their shells. We also had a fourth Icelandic chick hatch even after the two Swedish Flower chicks popped out of their shells. She has grown into our little hen, Astrid.
In the final clip, we fast forward to teenage hen, Ygrette, in the front (she was the littlest and darkest chick), with a teenage Snorri (Icelandic roo) behind her, and a teenage Ragnar in the back. Snorri and Ragnar are working on their cock-a-doodle-doo songs. #SwedishFlowerHen#IcelandicChickens#ChickHatching#BabyChicks#BrooderLife#RareBreeds#ChickenGrowth#FarmAdventures#Homesteading#ChickenLovers#CuteChicks#Poultry#HenAndRoo
