Yes, and that's a different discussion.
The point is neither offers a secure income.
There are risks to both options, people underestimate the risk of perm and overestimate the risk of going alone.
In both cases you can take action to manage the risk if you acknowledge it.

My first (but not the last) "concept challenge" was to think of `=` as assignment.
I was so used to seeing it as math equality that
x = x 1
looked bizarre.
The "syntax" was easy, I'd seen `=` for years.
But the concept was unfamiliar, and that made all the difference.

A Library has these sets of instructions that simplify boilerplate code. Framework on the other hand I believe has something called IoC in which the framework has the control over the flow and management of the components that you create.
