Key Concall Highlights of Pidilite Industries Ltd. 4QFY26: 🔹 Management highlighted genuine buoyancy in demand particularly in urban areas which is expected to sustain. The core portfolio delivered double-digit growth while growth categories operated at the higher end of their targeted growth range. 🔹 Raw Material Inflation: The weighted average raw material basket saw inflation of 40-50% at peak based on replacement costs, largely driven by the Middle East supply chain disruptions and surging VAM prices. However, the company holds healthy inventory levels and has secured alternate supply sources to navigate this. 🔹 Pricing Strategy: To manage inflation, the company took calibrated price hikes of 4-5% in mid-April and an additional 7-8% in early May at a blended company level (totalling 12-15% in specific categories like Fevicol). 🔹 Margin Guidance: Despite the near-term raw material inflation, management remains steadfast on maintaining its historical EBITDA margin guidance of 20-24%. 🔹 Capex & Capacity Expansion: Capex is guided to remain within the band of 3-5% of revenue going forward. The company spent ~Rs 570 cr on capex in FY26 (vs Rs 430 cr in FY25). A large new plant for premium white glue (Fevicol) is scheduled to be commissioned in West India in 1QFY27. 🔹 Export revenues were impacted in March due to the West Asia conflict, causing a 21.8% decline in export UVG. However, the overall revenue exposure to exports is small, meaning it will not significantly dent the company's overall performance. 🔹 Pidilite swapped its stake in the 'BuildNext' platform for a minority shareholding in JSW One. This is a strategic financial investment to explore broader synergies in construction marketplaces. 🔹 Paints Segment: The paints business is seeing good traction in "Rurban" (rural and small town) markets and has expanded beyond the Southern states into West Bengal and Bihar. 🔹 Waterproofing: The projects waterproofing business (Nina Percept) grew faster than the retail waterproofing side.
