Also I use these as the default init options: disable checkOnSave, cachePriming, procMacros, and buildScripts to save CPU/RAM. Set files.watcher to "server" and autoreload to false. Keep diagnostics on for essential syntax checking.

As a builder of my own IDE i really doubt that. Especially with AI the actual performance of the IDE matters even less since you dont have to type that much in it, just prompt and trigger buildscripts. What IS true tho is that zed has good chance to catch up now.
