John Crimber opened the PBR season going 1-for-4 through the first two events, with his lone qualified ride coming at PBR Manchester, where he scored 84.05 aboard Magic Trick. On the other three buck-offs, he averaged just 2.71 seconds on the Bull. It was a disappointing start from the back-to-back Teams MVP, but that all changed in Boston.
In Round 1, Crimber matched up with Wild Card, a bull that had previously bucked him off in 5.98 seconds at PBR Tacoma in 2024. This time, Crimber was firmly in control from start to finish, earning an 86.95-point score.
He carried that momentum into Round 2 against Skippy, a familiar opponent he had previously scored 88 points on in the 2024 PBR World Finals. Although Skippy moved away from Crimber’s hand, Crimber stayed centered throughout the ride, posting an 87.25 and briefly taking over first place overall.
Crimber entered the Championship Round with the second pick behind Marco Rizzo and selected No. 22-ranked Firezone. Firezone delivered the second-highest bullscore of the event with 44.25, while Crimber was bucked off at 3.27 seconds, extending Firezone's record to 35-2.
Crimber finished in third place at PBR Boston, and the youngest millionaire in the PBR has a new wind under his sails.
