For 30 years or so... Punishment for NCOs - loss of rank, fines, career stagnation. Punishment for Officers - Promotion, transfer, eventual lifetime gig to be incompetent at CACSC. To teach the next generation of incompetents...

Ask any veteran how many incompetent officers they saw get PROMOTED and transferred after their own fuck-ups. That's the way it's been for at least 25 years. CACSC is full of the most dimwitted fucktards I ever had the displeasure to serve with. Teaching the next gen of fucktards

A large part of the problem is CACSC. Every leadership element that got "promoted out" of their incompetence ended up there. We now have a generation of fuckwits teaching other fuckwits...both of whom are unable to recognize fuckwittery.

CACSC is full to the brim with the last generation of incompetents. Training the next generation to be incompetent... You know exactly what will happen. There will be an "Official Inquest" and those responsible will get promoted out of their current positions.

100% I know the leadership fucks involved in this. CACSC has been full of shitheads for 25 years now. An entire generation of shitheads teaching the present generation of shitheads to be even bigger shitheads.

I was honoured to receive a CDS Coin today during her visit to CACSC. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work on projects related to PME, wargaming, & ALPS, and even more grateful to be part of a team pushing to grow the Army’s thinking every day.

Former Interim Consortium Leader Tapang Ivo Accuses Agbor Balla of “Betrayal” After Berlin Photos Surface A fresh wave of controversy has erupted within Cameroon’s civil society and pro-democracy circles after Barrister Agbor Nkongho Felix Balla—prominent human rights lawyer and former leader of the Cameroon Anglophone Civil Society Consortium (CACSC)—posted photos from a conference in Berlin, Germany, amid reports that authorities attempted to arrest him days earlier. Dr. Tapang Ivo Tanku, who served as Interim Leader of the Consortium after Agbor Balla’s 2017 arrest, issued a sharply worded statement accusing the lawyer of “betrayal” and undermining the movement at a critical political moment. His criticism comes after media outlets reported that Cameroonian security forces attempted to arrest Agbor Balla last week in the tense aftermath of the October 12 presidential election. The sudden release of photos from Berlin appeared to downplay or dismiss the danger, without addressing the situation back home. In his post, Tapang wrote: “I am deeply disappointed in Dr. Agbor Balla. Even after I tried to protect the movement by publicly claiming you were with Ndoki and Tchiroma for the swearing-in, you still went ahead and posted photos from your ‘Democracy Conference’ in Germany. That was an act of betrayal.” He accused Balla of weakening the broader struggle for justice by publicly revealing his whereabouts instead of keeping the regime “uneasy and guessing.” According to Tapang, the move undermined the momentum behind newly declared president-elect Issa Tchiroma Bakary and leaders like Barrister Michelle Ndoki, who have been openly defying the Biya regime at great personal risk. “This is a disappointment to Mr. Tchiroma, who is fighting alone with courage and conviction,” Tapang added. “Democracy is not in Western-sponsored conferences. It is in courageous action in non-Western countries.” Agbor Balla has not publicly responded to the allegations or clarified the reported attempted arrest in Cameroon. #Cameroon #AgborBalla #TapangIvo #IssaTchiromaBakary #CameroonElections #AnglophoneCrisis #CivilSociety #HumanRights #MMINews #CameroonPolitics

Mark Bareta, once a leading figure in the Cameroon Anglophone Civil Society Consortium (CACSC) and later a hardline separatist, has publicly endorsed Issa Tchiroma Bakary in the run-up to Cameroon’s October 2025 presidential election. In a social media post dated September 22, Bareta urged Cameroonians to “overcome fear and unite behind Tchiroma,” arguing that with strong voter mobilization—including what he described as the resilience of Muslim communities—President Paul Biya’s decades-long rule could finally be challenged. Bareta’s endorsement came just days before fellow former separatist leader Tapang Ivo Tanku declared support for another opposition candidate, Cabral Libii of the PCRN. The two men, who once served as interim leaders of the Anglophone Civil Society Consortium before taking harder separatist positions, now appear to be encouraging participation in the presidential race rather than boycotts. Their interventions come as some separatist factions have declared lockdowns in the English-speaking regions, seeking to derail the elections by restricting movement and economic activity. The October vote has attracted 11 opposition candidates, with growing calls from civil society for a united coalition to challenge Biya, who has been in power for more than four decades. #CameroonDecides2025 #MMINews #RoadToEtoudi2025 #237Vote #IssaTchiroma #MarkBareta #TapangIvo #CameroonElections #AnglophoneCrisis #CameroonPolitics

Another day, another round of Major’s Gambit. Finding what works and what might need a house rule. Getting paid to do this? Love it. I come to CACSC every day fired up to talk Army, plan ops, and think through tough problems with great people. Wouldn’t want to do anything else.
Spent another afternoon exploring Major’s Gambit. Really fun and I think we might be able to use it for some teaching in the future. Looking forward to tomorrow’s round!

Not my main focus this week, but carving out some time to dig into Major’s Gambit as a potential training tool here at CACSC. A fun little side project, always good to keep the brain active. Wargaming is a great way to do that!

Wrapped up the MORS Certificate in Wargaming this week. It was great to learn from some of the best in the field. Lots of practical tools, interesting insights, and hard questions. Looking forward to putting it to use at CACSC to keep pushing how we teach, think & fight.

Thanks again for having me @GUWargaming! Always a pleasure to talk about wargaming with the community of practice. It was a fun way to get the word out about some of the work we’re doing at CACSC, and to build a broader network of like minded enthusiasts.
ICYMI: Alex Buck (@RCRBuck) discussed the educational tactical #wargaming he is leading at the Canadian Army Operations Course! This is an excellent case study in integrating wargames! Link: youtu.be/DDCBSJbjcFA?si=x1PO…
