Chaired the 81st Review Meeting on CPEC to assess progress on ongoing projects and review preparations for the 14th Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) meeting, expected to take place in Beijing next month.
I directed all focal persons of the Joint Working Groups (JWGs) to convene their respective meetings urgently, and instructed ministries to finalise their proposed agenda items for the JCC within a week.
As CPEC enters Phase 2, it offers new avenues for industrial cooperation, agriculture, science & technology, IT, and socio-economic development. This phase is critical for transforming Pakistan into a regional hub of trade, connectivity, and innovation.
Timely planning, inter-ministerial coordination, and proactive engagement with our Chinese counterparts are essential to unlocking the full potential of this strategic partnership.

Prime Minister #ShehbazSharif is set to launch construction work on the #Mansehra #Muzaffarabad #Motorway, a major infrastructure project with an estimated cost of Rs. 45 billion.
Initially approved by former Prime Minister #NawazSharif in 2016, the project faced delays after the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (#PTI) government shelved it due to financial constraints. According to MNA Sardar Mohammad Yusuf, the current government has revived it with the #China #Pakistan Economic Corridor (#CPEC) initiative.
Sardar Yusuf explained that the project has been approved by a China-Pakistan consortium. He further mentioned that Rs. 45 billion has been allocated for the motorway’s construction, which will eventually extend to other parts of Azad Jammu and #Kashmir (#AJK) in its second phase
