I attended the University of Calgary’s Orange Shirt Day event at the Calgary Public Library this evening.
Tonight’s guest, and tomorrow’s keynote speaker, Angela Sterritt (Gitxzan) signed my copy of Unbroken: My Fight for Survival, Hope, and Justice for Indigenous Women and Girls (2023).
She is an award-winning investigative journalist and national bestselling author. I am grateful to have Angela to our territory and I look forward to the release of her upcoming book.
