Nigerian-American philosopher Cash Onadele has urged the Federal Government to promote ethnography and honour indigenous cultural promoters with awards. Speaking in Lagos at the stage performance of "The Noble Warrior" to celebrate Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka's 90th birthday, Onadele called on political leaders to champion cultural emancipation by consuming local goods and services. Onadele's play, written under the name Aiye-ko-ooto and performed at the Muson Centre, highlighted issues such as love, leadership, education and tradition.
