DBD already has SAW. I have no idea how Terrifier is “too much” in comparison. Theyre pretty equal in terms of body horror. Though; SAW is just more mechanical and the cinematography is dramatic and really exaggerative so the gore isnt nearly as centerframe as in Terrifier.

I'm confused because 1) the camera literally had gibbs centerframe the entire shot. And 2) if Gibbs is SO fast, how did Moro Ojomo (97) chase him down

“What a great opportunity to be connected to so many industry professionals…” That’s what filmmaker Jo Lane experienced at CenterFrame 💬 From meaningful conversations to real industry connections, our showcases are designed to bring filmmakers into the room where things happen. Jo joined as a CenterFrame member and turned that experience into momentum for her film Gobstopper 🎬 And that’s exactly what CenterFrame is about: opening doors, building community, and helping your work go further.

Every filmmaker has a starting point. On a very special episode of Make It Short, critic Diogo Brüggemann interviewed director Ukrainian filmmaker Varta Arutiunian. In the conversation, she reflects on her early relationship with filmmaking and how that journey shaped the way she tells stories today. Watch the full clip and follow CenterFrame for more conversations with the filmmakers shaping the future of short films.

Jed Shepherd’s Selects picks keep delivering. 🔥 Mister Mittens by Stephen Graves just landed on the CenterFrame Selects shortlist, and Jed’s verdict is clear: a watchable, slightly warped voice that turns everyday couple drama into something darker, sharper, and quietly addictive. 🐾🖤 Selects is your chance to get your work seen by established filmmakers and industry players, and this one was chosen by Jed Shepherd (Host, Dashcam) himself. UK cinema's next essential voices aren't all in London. The professionals shaping the future of UK filmmaking are teaching at drama schools in Newcastle. Working on sets in Bristol. Screening at community cinemas in Cardiff. Studying at universities across Scotland. Collaborating with rental houses in Belfast. But here's the problem: Industry recognition tends to flow through the same networks, the same postcodes, the same circles. Exceptional talent gets overlooked because they're not in the right geography or the right network. THE WATCHLIST changes that. A year-round recognition programme partnering with institutions across the entire UK to discover and celebrate exceptional emerging talent in short filmmaking. Not another London list. A recognition programme that reflects the full geography of UK cinema. Launching in February. #TheWatchlist #UKCinema #ShortFilm #EmergingTalent #CenterFrame

New on CenterFrame Curated: I Understand, written and directed by Mark can Heusden "Ben and Eve had a fight at a house party. They both let off steam by meeting a friend in a pub to express their frustration and share their story. As they both tell their version of events, we find out what really happened that night." *Were* a plague? Dune 2 only came out last year. The throat-singing was high-impact, but you're can only be so subtle with a sledgehammer. Eggers and Villneuve are only useful as instruments of political signaling. Close-up centerframe shots are not actually good cinematography
