🌍 The WHA was founded on a noble principle: health is a fundamental human right for ALL people, without distinction of political belief. Leaving Taiwan’s 23.5 million people out creates a dangerous blind spot in global health security. Taiwan last participated in 2016. Due to pressure from China, Taiwan has now been excluded for a decade. In spite of facing unjust treatment, Taiwan continues to actively contribute to global health: • 🏥 Building national medical info systems in Paraguay • 📸 Digitizing medical imaging in Belize • 👶 Improving maternal & infant care in Eswatini To truly realize the WHO vision of "Health for All," the world must support Taiwan's participation. #ChipInWithTaiwan! 🇹🇼
"Who cares? Taiwan cares!" That is the message Taiwanese officials are delivering at events on the sidelines of the annual World Health Assembly, alongside support from the World Medical Association for Taiwan's participation in the assembly.

As a key leader in advancing healthcare and technology, #Taiwan🇹🇼 would be able to make even greater contributions to global health if it were a member of the World Health Organization (@WHO), says President @ChingteLai. With diplomatic allies advocating for Taiwan's inclusion at the World Health Assembly (#WHA79), @MOFA_Taiwan Minister Lin @chia_lung is in #Geneva with Taiwan's top medical experts to demonstrate Taiwan's commitment to global health. Integrating Taiwan into the #WHO would strengthen patient care and create more resilient health systems worldwide. 🌐 #WhoCaresTaiwanCares #ChipInWithTaiwan #HealthForAll Read more: focustaiwan.tw/politics/2026…
