Got Civolution back to the table today in preparation for recording (hopefully tomorrow), and I still really love this game. But I'm definitely not good at it. Lost by one point this time, 196-197, against the beginner level AI...
🎲 Civolution was excellent. Want to play more.
⛏️ Covenant 2nd play still great. Love Millan's style.
🚀 Twilight Imperium was fun but too long.
🛖 Asyria shows promise after learning game by myself. Want to introduce it to local group.
Considering Civolution: This has been a maybe for awhile, and continues to go on and off of my wishlist. I think I’d really enjoy it solo, but I don’t know that it would hit the table that often. I’ve played three times multiplayer so far.
Heavy: Civolution, Secret Societies
Medium: EGO
Light: Pina Coladice
Honestly best overall might go to Pina Coladice. Simple, fast, and fun, but still with enough tactics to keep me interested. Probably my most played game this year so far.
Civolution is a beast, but an excellent game! I actually wished there was one more round to develop more, but I pulled out a surprise win with 21 points from stage 4 cards.
