I planted late as my bed wasn't ready & I was late in getting them in the refrigerator as I'm in a 10a zone so I really can't grow the Hardnecks that need a freeze/coldspell. You can put them in the refrigerator to make them think it's winter but I chose garlic that is grown in warm areas. I also planted them 4 inches so I think it was too deep. I thought they would be cooler deeper in the hot summer which would be true but I think that there was too much stem under the soil. I'll try again next year. I'll try to plant them by January which is recommended here.
