May 2026 housing numbers are officially in, and the North Alabama real estate market is showing incredible resilience and steady growth!
According to the latest data from our combined, median sales price across our combined market has climbed to $315k (up from $300k in May 2025). Buyers remain highly active, pushing total home sales to 1,453 for the month, while overall inventory dipped slightly compared to last year with 5,611 homes on the market.
While prices continue to hold strong, there are also thousands of homes available for buyers to choose from. That creates opportunities on both sides of the transaction - whether you’re thinking about selling, buying, or doing both.
