COMRES-75 was an experimental British tank project developed as part of research into a future replacement for the Chieftain. It tested the idea of an externally mounted, auto-loaded 83.8 mm gun on a modified Comet hull to reduce weight and lower the vehicle’s exposed profile. Built in 1968, it became the world’s first external gun demonstrator. The concept was studied but ultimately abandoned when the Future Main Battle Tank program was cancelled in favor of more conventional designs like MBT-80, especially after Chobham armour made traditional layouts more viable. Cute how you left out all the polls that prove you wrong. You could start with Ipsos and ComRes. But you're irrational so I shouldn't expect better. Probably taking estrogen shots.

I’ve always wanted to pursue you, ComRes. Now that I got the chance to finally pursue you, hindi na tugma sa akin ang mga pangarap ko. Maraming salamat, Sintang Paaralan. Hindi man ako maging direktor, ngunit pinakita mo ang katunayan ng kakayahan ko. 🌟♥️

The Maldives trip became a symbol of empty gestures—Farage promised to reach Chagos Islands, flew to Maldives for photos, went home. The paper candidate scandal exposed desperation. People reported being cold-called and offered £500 to stand despite no connection to the party or area. Savanta ComRes found 58% of English voters believe Reform is “not ready to govern,” up from 44% in December. Net trustworthiness fell from -6 to -21. Kinnock: ‘You’ve Only Got a Shout’ Neil Kinnock’s assessment was surgical. “Of course it’s not” representing forgotten communities, he told Nation.Cymru. “It’s the opposite. It’s a posh boys’ club.” The data supports this. Financial Times analysis found 68% of Reform’s 2024 candidates attended private schools (versus 7% of the population). 43% had personal wealth over £1 million. 89% were white men. “The only argument going for them is grievance and resentment,” Kinnock said. “You can’t represent people on that basis. You’ve only got a shout. There’s no design, no practical plan.” He pointed to “falsehoods like the economic bounty that was supposed to come from Brexit, which has proved to be a Farage mirage.” The phrase captures the con. Brexit was supposed to make Britain richer. The OBR estimates it reduced GDP by 4%, a permanent loss of £100 billion annually. The fishing industry is smaller than in 2016. Promised trade deals never materialized. The Pattern is Clear Farage promised Kent would be a “shop window.” It displays chaos. He promised to reach Chagos Islands. He reached a Maldives dock. He promised DOGE would find waste “off the charts.” They found nothing. He promised to cut council tax. It rose 3.99%. A More in Common focus group found even Reform-curious voters skeptical. “They’re good at complaining. I’m just not sure they’d be any good at fixing anything.” Leaked internal memos show party leadership knows. One warned: “We are losing the argument on competence. Kent has damaged us badly.” Another: “The candidate quality issue is out of control. Every week brings new scandals.” Internal seat projections revised sharply down: England from 300-400 gains to 150-200. Scotland from 22-28 MSPs to 14-18. Wales from 15-18 to 9-13. What Happens Next Reform will likely emerge from May 7 with meaningful representation. But the narrative has shifted. The story of unstoppable momentum is replaced by a party hitting its ceiling, unable to translate protest into governance, undone by lack of preparation and candidate quality. The momentum that made Reform look unstoppable has stalled. What happens on May 7 will determine whether this is temporary or the beginning of the end. But the data suggests voters are asking Kinnock’s question: What happens when you move beyond the shout? What happens when the Farage mirage evaporates? If Kent is any guide, the answer isn’t encouraging for Reform. And the voters appear to be noticing.

Every Green Party MP and Peer voted in favour of killing fully viable unborn babies. Polanski ran because he cannot justify the unjustifiable. Only 1% of the British public supports abortion up to birth (ComRes poll).

Putting aside the mischaracterisation of "frothing hatred", public opinion on abortion opposes the latest extreme measures. Polling by Savanta ComRes has found that just one per cent of Britons support abortion up to birth. Ella, you 🫵are the frighteningly out-of-touch one.
This kind of frothing hatred for women's freedom is just so out of touch with public opinion on abortion. MPs with even the tiniest liberal bone in their body need to have some courage and come out and defend our bodily autonomy, because at the moment Westminster is sounding like a house full of loons.

No, the public may be broadly supportive of the right to an abortion but hardly anyone believes in abortion up to birth. (1% according to Savanta Comres poll). 60% of the general public and 70% of women believe that the 24-week limit should be reduced: righttolife.org.uk/polling

Well done @thetimes. Savanta ComRes polling on whether time limits for abortion should be increased found that 1 per cent of Brits wanted it to be increased right through to birth, in contrast to 70% of British women who favoured a reduction in limits. No one wants this.
The Times’ View on today’s Lords’ vote: those protections that have historically been granted to a viable foetus are effectively erased, long past the point where a baby could have survived independently. And for vulnerable mothers, it raises the prospect of exactly the fearful, squalid and risky back-street abortions that David Steel’s 1967 Abortion Act was meant to avoid.

From @TVPSouthandVale Didcot & Wallingford Neighbourhood Team have been responding to reports of egg-throwing in Great Western Park, Didcot and patrolling the area for the past few weeks. Yesterday, with the assistance of local schools, the team were able to ID the youths and issue the main perpetrator with a Community Resolution for criminal damage. An additional condition added to the ComRes, upon request of one of their victims, was to write an apology letter which was then delivered to them by police. 🥚 The team have also recovered a stolen push bike and been at Willowbrook estate dealing with kids riding around dangerously on an electric dirtbike that was going speeds reported to be up to 40mph in the housing estate, though modified to go up to 50! Units quickly responded to the calls and were able to stop the kids after they had made off from police and speak to both them and their parents. The bright orange bike was seized. 🚲 4 closure orders in Didcot have also been approved at court today for addresses containing individuals involved with drugs and shoplifting. A closure order is a tool used to temporarily close premises to stop serious antisocial behaviour, crime, or nuisance. It restricts access to anyone that is not the resident, police, medical professionals or named individuals on the paperwork e.g. a family member approved by police, to protect the community from disorder. ⛔ Tomorrow, on the 10th March, local PCSOs Saunders and Carter will be at Edmonds Park Pavilion at 6 PM for a Have our Say. Do come by with your questions or concerns or even just to say hello. 👋

Hope Not Hate's @lowles_nick publish a report today saying 54% of Reform voters want non-British people born abroad deported & many who were born here. Let's see who they might be. A Henry Jackson poll @HJS_Org in 2024 found: "52% of British Muslims support laws banning the display of cartoons and images of the Prophet Muhammad " "Almost half of British Muslims feel more sympathy with Hamas than Israel" "65% want to make Eid-al-Fitr a public holiday" "46% say Jews have too much power over UK government policy" "39% Compulsory use of Halal food in all schools and hospitals" A comres poll found 78-80% found images depicting the Prophet Muhammad deeply offensive. That could be a start who need to leave.
