Spider-Man / Human Torch no.2 from April 2005, written by Dan Slott with cover art from Paul Smith, seems to fit into this slot very well with Flash just finishing up his leave and headed back to the war, as Spidey & the Human Torch make a bet on which superhero has the easier life! The Human Torch now has to track down Kraven the Hunter, while Spidey joins the rest of the Fantastic Four on a strange new cosmic adventure! Johnny has some initial failings, but in the end, does end up capturing Kraven. However, Spidey's trip with the FF is anything but, and upon return the team asks Spidey to leave and never come back! #amazingspiderman #marvelcomics #ComicsCommunity #humantorch #fantasticfour

It's a rare early Spidey cover that's not from Steve Ditko or John Romita here for ASM vol.1 no.82 from March 1970, written by Stan Lee with cover art from a Marvel legend that doesn't get near enough credit as she deserves, the late great Marie Severin! Peter Parker is hard up for funds once again, so he decides to pimp himself off for a late night tv show appearance! The tv execs are excited to have the web slinger on as a special guest, but the newly hire electrician, a recently paroled Max Dillon overhears the agreement, he figures this is a great time for the return of Electro! When Spidey shows up at the station, so does Electro, and the battle commences. Spidey grounds out Electro and sulks home, knowing he's not getting paid for that fiasco! #amazingspiderman #marvelcomics #ComicsCommunity #spiderman #electro
