Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner Neetu Squire visited Live Cancer Free in Leicester this week to see first-hand the delivery of a new women’s road safety initiative. The Safe Roads, Safe Communities project has been funded through the recent road safety round of the PCC’s Community Action Fund. The project is a community-led safety, prevention and education initiative designed to reduce road-related harm among BAME women in Leicester City. Ten structured workshops are being delivered, combining practical simulations with theory-based learning, supported by a multilingual, community-designed road safety booklet. By bringing people together and sharing practical advice, the project is helping women feel more confident, informed and safer when using the roads in their day-to-day lives. #SafeAndProsperousCommunities #CommunityActionProgramme #RoadSafety
