NSW community language teachers recognised for 47 years of multicultural education šš

For 47 years, the NSW Federation of Community Language Schools has helped generations of children stay connected to language, culture and identity ā and this week, teachers and volunteers were formally recognised for that incredible contribution.
With 220 schools, 29,000 students, 2,700 teachers and 72 languages taught across 460 locations, community language schools are one of NSWās quiet success stories in multicultural education.
Leaders from across the political spectrum praised the dedicated educators, performers and young learners who keep these languages alive and thriving in our suburbs.
