2-Day Training on “Prevention of Young People Suicide” | Winchester
Grateful for the opportunity to attend this important training in the historic city of Winchester.
I’m hoping to strengthen my skills in supporting young people who experience suicidal thoughts. So often, there’s a deep ambivalence—a part that wants to live and a part that feels utterly overwhelmed.
Through this training, I want to become more equipped to hold space for that tension with empathy, help young people uncover their reasons for living, and guide them toward safety and hope in moments of distress.
Every life matters. Every story deserves to be heard.

🌟 Another powerful day of trauma-informed training delivery in Preston with the brilliant @SuptSrivastava Heather Whitehead from Warren Larkin Associates
This time, we had the pleasure of working with an inspiring group of professionals from The Growth Company, dedicated to supporting people to improve their health, wellbeing and job prospects.
The session was rich with conversation, humour, and meaningful debate around essential topics: trauma-informed practice principles, reflective supervision, community trauma, compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, burnout, neuroscience, empathy, early intervention, and routine enquiry.
We wrapped the day by asking delegates to summarise their experience in one word. The responses? Thoughtful, energising, insightful, reassuring … and overwhelmingly positive. From the value of evidence-based practice to the practicality of the tools shared, it was clear this group took a great deal from the time we spent together.
Grateful for such open and engaged participation—and truly looking forward to continuing the work with these incredible practitioners.
