The Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, James Browne TD, is leading a presence dor Ireland at MIPIM (Marché International des Professionels de l'Immoblier) 2026, He addressed attendees at the event and emphasised that Ireland is open for business as an attractive venue for investment in new homes.
MIPIM 2026 is taking place in Cannes, France from March 9th to March 12th. Attendees include property investors, funders, developers, industry advisers and consultants, senior politicians, mayors, officials and policy advisors from around the globe. They parasites in government see this as huge potential to promote this corporation of theirs as an "investment destination for residential and related development"
Ireland at MIPIM 2026 centres on an ‘Ireland’ pavilion at the conference which is hosting a programme of panel discussions and information sessions to highlight the operational environment and growth potential for residential development in Ireland.
The government claim this is simply part of their project to build 300,000 homes by 2030 and state that 72,000 will be social homes and 90,000 will be starter homes.
But they fail to mention this is simply part of agenda 2040(you will own nothing and be happy) and that all of these homes will be sustainable and controlled by the state.
We see them pushing small landlords out of the housing section and this is why folks.
They want foreign investment to swoop in and own it. Not the people.
We seem to be happy to allow the establishment destroy our land because we continue to let them away with it.
And what we allow will continue folks!!!!

Last year marked the highest number of new social homes built - in any given year - since the foundation of the state.
In 2025, 9,089 new-build social homes were delivered, an increase of 1,256 homes (16%) compared with 2024.
This is serious momentum that we will build on.
