Let's not deify "shipping".
Ubuntu is currently "shipping" rust replacements for Coreutils and sudo, and they're crippled in features, and have critical vulnerabilities found constantly.

Maybe, instead of using gnu, glibc, coreutils or bash you should've tried nix, uutils, and nushell.

My current "stupid" project is MIT coreutils in LLVM IR with minimal system calls. 30x smaller binary size compared to Rust. Sort is 3-7x faster (need to verify) something like 80% less system calls because it is doing them efficiently.

Linuxを使わないとアホなのに、GNUのソフトウェアは化石なのか・・・coreutilsとかashやbashってGNU以外にあったっけ？あとBSDを無条件でディスっているのを初めて見て新鮮だと思った。勉強になります！
