M is for Mosaic. On Friday students created mosaic self portraits. They then created a counting collection and counted how many tiles they needed for their arms, legs, head, feet, torso and whole body. #artinmath #countingcollection #abccountdown

Kindergarten students @cfisdfiest are observing and describing pumpkins using their five senses. #PumpkinInvestigation @CFISDPK1 #CountingCollection using ten frames, bags, and ice cube trays for a grand total of 520 pumpkin seeds from our pumpkin!

Number of the day inspired this #CountingCollection... it is just SO incredibly fascinating to see how kids count and organize. So many connections as we look at numbers & patterns - and make predictions! #MathJoy
