Some #crayweek appreciation for the #AquaticEcologyAndAstacologyLab. I didn't study crayfish but when you're surrounded by people as passionate as @DrCBonvillain its hard not to build a passion too. I've loved learning more than I ever thought I would about them 💙 🦞 #ChelaeUp

If you see a suspicious crayfish, please take a picture, note the GPS coordinates, and report it at fwp.mt.gov/ais. #crayweek
when #InternationalCatDay meets #CrayWeek, you get craycat art, which almost a genere in itself (some examples below)

Anyone out there is aware of Cambaroides in Japanese art? I have only found artworks with Procambarus, present in Japan since the 1920s
The 1976 book on the red swamo crayfish, Procambarus clarkii by Masami Yoshikazi (name could be wrong) seems really nice. Wonderful drawings, at least (I would need some Japanese skills to tell about the text)
