🇱🇹🤝🇺🇦 Lithuania and Ukraine expand CreateUkraine program to bring talented young Ukrainians home. Modelled after Lithuania’s “Create Lithuania”, the second cohort of the program will place 25 professionals in key 🇺🇦 public institutions driving reforms and recovery. #URC2025

🇺🇦🇱🇹 A very productive meeting with our Lithuanian partners: the newly appointed Lithuanian Ambassador-at-Large for the Coordination of Recovery and Reconstruction of Ukraine @skusev, Lithuanian Ambassador to Italy @DaliaKreiviene and Mariana Varkaliene from @CPMALithuania. We discussed key joint projects that are of great importance to Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to the #CreateUkraine program, which aims to bring back talented Ukrainians from abroad to work in government institutions. During the discussion, I had a representative of our Create Ukraine team Yuliia Mishchuk by my side, and I can see with my own eyes how effectively this program works! We are pleased to announce that we are actively working on expanding the program for the next year, involving more government agencies and expanding its focus on European integration. We also discussed the progress of the “Future School for Ukraine project”, which aims to restore destroyed schools and provide children with access to education and create new jobs. I also had a chance to thank the Lithuanian partners for their support and expert assistance in preparing for meetings with the @EU_Commission on the negotiation sections for which the @mineconomdev is responsible. I would like to remind you that together with @Svyrydenko_Y and @CPMALithuania and the @kse_ua, we launched the #CreateUkraine program similar to the @KurkLT at the URC-2024 in Berlin. We have high hopes for the URC in Rome this July, where we plan to present the new fruits of our cooperation. I sincerely thank our Lithuanian partners for their support and commitment to Ukraine! “What you are doing for Ukraine right now will go down in history." That thought kept running through my mind as I listened to the participants of #CreateUkraine present the progress of their projects! In five months, together with our Lithuanian partners, the @mineconomdev, and the @kse_ua we have helped Ukrainians with international experience return home and work on rebuilding the country. Today, 10 incredible people are already implementing their ideas in public administration, improving economic policy, developing human capital, and shaping the future of our country. Attracting Lithuanian investments through the Ukraine Investment Framework, developing professional skills of 🇺🇦 through the Skills Alliance program, and preparing for the Ukrainian-Lithuanian intergovernmental commission — discussed a range of topics with the newly appointed 🇱🇹 Minister of Economy and Innovation @lsavickas. Also, I expressed our gratitude for launching #CreateUkraine program, which has enabled 10 young Ukrainians with international experience to join @mineconomdev team and work on the relaunch of the government's investment attraction office @UAInvestTeam.
