If you're a writer and feel like giving up writing, please don't. Keep going. I've had 3 people reach out to me over the past two days telling me they miss my writing. This is massive because I think I'm just a girl on the internet sharing random and occasionally profound thoughts that no one's paying attention to. But the irony is people ARE paying attention. Even if it's silently. People are lurking in the bushes, silently watching and rooting for you without your knowledge. They just need you to keep going even if you don't think it's worth it. Sometimes (read: A LOT of times) we show up for the people rooting for us silently. You know how it is. Days when you're staring at a blank page and inspiration has left the chat. Or your heart is heavy and the words are just out of your grasp. Or you feel like bleeding on the page but hesitant to be vulnerable for fear of being "too much". Showing up looks different for each of us and we should respect that. Shoot, showing up for me could be once a month in one month and 25 days in another 😂I'm only human 🤷🏽‍♀️ Knowing you have people who look forward to your words does something to you. It's exhilarating, exciting, fulfilling, but also nerve-wracking, scary and uncomfortable because it's a weighty responsibility you don't take lightly. But sooooo worth it. All of this to say, I'm humbled and taking this as a sign that my purpose of serving others through my writing deserves more credit. To the 3 people who remember my writing, thank you 🥹 To my silent supporters, thank you 🙏🏽 To those passing by, thank you 😀 To those who don't care, thank you 😂 To my fellow writers, chin up, my dear. Your writing matters to someone and that's all that matters at the end of the day. Because if your writing matters to one person, it matters to 2, 3, 5, 10, 100 and more. But never forget that your writing mattering to just 1 person is more than enough to keep going. ✍🏽 🤎
