I got called a scammer for something I didn’t even do Over the past few days, I’ve seen some posts calling creatorskit.app a scam. As the founder, I want to clarify what actually happened. CreatorsKit is a platform where UGC creators can build portfolios and brands can post jobs. Recently, a user signed up as a “brand” and created a job post claiming that Glossier was hiring creators. As part of growing the platform, I shared that job post in several Facebook groups and on X, just like I’ve done many times before to help creators discover opportunities and bring activity to the platform. Later, it turned out that Glossier was not actually hiring, and someone reached out to them directly. Their response was screenshotted and shared online, which led to people assuming that CreatorsKit is a scam. I want to be clear: I did not create that job post It was created by a user on the platform But I take responsibility for sharing it without verification At the same time, I also want to say this honestly: If I wanted to scam people, I wouldn’t do it using my real identity, from my personal accounts, with my own photos and my family visible. That would make no sense. I’m building this publicly as a founder, not hiding behind anything. We are already working on improvements, including: better moderation brand verification preventing misleading job posts CreatorsKit is something I’ve been building to create real value for creators and brands, and situations like this show how important trust systems are in any marketplace. If you had concerns after seeing those posts, I completely understand why. But this was not an attempt to mislead anyone — it was a mistake in sharing a user-generated job post without proper verification, and I’m actively fixing it.

Seeing a lot of creators talk about fake opportunities on CreatorsKit. I appreciate the founder addressing it, but as creators, we have to be REAL about this. Time is EVERYTHING for us. Applying, filming samples, and engaging with listings that turn out to be fake is not a small issue And this especially affects new UGC creators, the ones just starting out, who may not know what to look out for yet. #UGC in 2026 is more valuable than ever, and that also means we need to be more careful about where we show up. Stop paying for CreatorsKit App! I made a video for them because he reached out to me and offer me to upgrade my tier to Pro. I don’t think I got scammed? As I didn’t pay for anything. Even after I’m in my Pro tier, I don’t see any goods in the platform. I reached out to him & asked because I genuinely want to help (like I can? lol) but all he said was rubbish. So, I took down my video reel & TikTok video and will take down this one as well in the next 24 hours. It’s sad because actually I took effort to do the video and since I’m a Southeast Asian creators; I really want to help fellow SEA creators to find UGC platform that fits. But this kind of scam is really draining our time and effort. So, please stop paying to their platform.
