Hey fam, I wanted to recap the highlights from yesterday's stream. If I missed anything, let me know in the comments! 👇
1. User Experience & Payments Private Transactions:
@EmanAbio's biggest reveal. "Private Transactions" will be launched within Slush Wallet in 2026. This is not just a wallet feature, but a protocol-level implementation; meaning other wallets can integrate it too.
Free Stablecoin Transfers: Adeniyi gave a clear commitment: In 2026, stablecoin transfers (USDC, USDT, etc.) on the Sui network will be completely free (gas-free). The goal is to make Sui the best network in the world for money transfer.
Direct Card Spending from DeFi Balance: A feature the wallet team is working on was leaked. Users will be able to spend directly via card using their balances in a DeFi protocol (while continuing to earn yield/interest), without having to withdraw money from the DeFi protocol to a bank.
2. DeFi and DeepBook Alphas DeepBook Margin & Programmable Revenue: The DeepBook Margin feature is coming. More importantly, for developers building their own front-end on DeepBook, an "automatic revenue sharing" system guaranteed at the smart contract level is coming. Meaning, even someone who doesn't know how to write code can build an interface for DeepBook and automatically take a cut from the transactions passing through it.
Double Yield Strategy (Alpha Leak):
@aslan_web3 revealed a new mechanism in development to route "stale/idle" capital from standard AMMs into DeepBook Margin pools. So LPs can earn double yield (Standard Swap fees Margin Lending interest).
Prop AMM Dominance: Aslan emphasized that "Prop AMMs" are becoming 10-100x more capital efficient than standard pools. With sharper Oracles coming in 2026, expect a boom in sophisticated derivatives.
The Robinhood Experience: Aslan's core vision for 2026 is to make DeFi feel like Robinhood, enabling seamless direct deposits and sophisticated trading tools for retail users, removing the complexity of Web3.
3. Tech and Infrastructure Alphas Lightning Tunnels (Zero Latency):
@kostascrypto announced they are working on a new cryptographic tunnel called "Lightning Tunnels" capable of literally "Zero Latency" transactions for robotics and micro-devices. This will be faster than the Bitcoin Lightning Network.
CryptoGuard: A technology to end incidents similar to the recent "Bybit and Safe Wallet" hacks (front-end attacks). "CryptoGuard" is coming to verify whether the website the user enters is exactly identical to the code published by the developer.
Hashi Protocol: It will enable the creation of fully decentralized "Bitcoin-backed bonds" on the Bitcoin network using Sui validators.
4. Vision and Sui Stack (S2): While 2025 was about building the separate components (zkLogin, Walrus, Seal), 2026 introduces "Sui Stack S2". Consolidating everything into one single SDK and documentation hub.
The Strategic Shift: The focus is now on raising the abstraction level. Web2 developers will no longer need to stitch together different protocols; they will build on Sui just like they use cloud services (like AWS), without even realizing they are interacting with a blockchain.
Privacy Coin Standards: Unlike existing privacy coins (Monero, etc.), new generation privacy token standards are being developed that are compliant with regulators (containing audit keys) and have embedded custody services.
