Maple will still be a grindy cubefest, DFO will still be selling packages for gold, Mabi will still be flipping gachas for reforges and erg mats, Kartrider is still gonna be mismanaged, etc. Nexon will always be Nexon.

Cube simply IS the best format to enjoy mtg.
Event staff were even more quality-obsessed with their cube experience than me, which is a lot. Really impressed. 👌🏻👌🏻💯

So sorry that Jenn had to face this in our community. Please be aware that the leaders at CubeFest allowed this behavior occur with little to no consequences. I know I personally will not be engaging with their events until there is clear change.

The old twitter account is rebranded to "CubeFest" and has some of the shittiest responses that are just fanning the flames too. Insane. I struggle to believe these are written in good faith.

The behavior was not ok in the slightest, but the attempt(I think?) By the CubeFest organizers to try to downplay or cover it up goes beyond the pale. Ashamed of every part of their behavior throughout.

It sucks that you had to come forward to address all of this, but thank you regardless, it’s still very brave. But also, so the cubefest people were straight up LYING today about how they addressed it? None of those guys should ever be given any space anymore, my god!

The thing that’s getting me is that the numbers of people don’t even add up. The cubecon webpage shows 7 organisers. The “cubefest” statement mentions the two “new cubecon” organisers breaking off, and the remaining members as six.
Is the missing person the accused?

It seems crystal clear that people would like to know, given that "CubeFest" folks were interested in retaining the guilty party within the organization before JBro and BK split, what changed, when it changed, and how was that change instigated.
I don't think that does any harm.

At some point, the new CubeFest cut ties with the guilty party or the guilty party cut ties with them.
What they fail to understand is that WHEN and HOW this happened is what's important to the community.
An utter disaster from a comms perspective.

Sorry if the document wasn't clear! It describes the course of action that CubeCon elected to take in response to the complaint. That course of action no longer holds given that members of the group are going different ways. My group is not associated with the person.

Sounds to me like both CubeCon / CubeFest groups totally botched this whole thing and I’m strongly considering reaching out to GameHoleCon about getting a refund on my credit for the coming year. Both groups are claiming transparency yet are withholding sooo much wtf
