To all of my fellow authors, I’ve run into a bit of a problem with my current WIP and I was wondering if maybe you guys could help me. I’m about 70 pages in, and I’ve realized that some of my original outline isn’t going to work anymore. All of the major plot points still work, it’s more the little things that happen in between that I’m a little fuzzy on. I still know exactly how this story is going to play out. And on top of that I’ve always enjoyed having some creative liberty when writing. But all that being said, I’m still a little worried that I no longer have enough of an outline to go off of and I am wondering if maybe I should rewrite the outline, or if maybe I am letting imposter syndrome get to me a bit and I just need to have more confidence in the process. I’m uncertain as to which way I should go and would really appreciate a second opinion.
