Yoshida is best known for his stunning work on Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy XII, the Bravely Default series and the breathtaking character designs for NieR: Automata. He frequently collaborates with director Yasumi Matsuno, and together they’ve crafted some of the most visually rich and emotionally deep games in the genre.

リリース直後から、世界観の作り込みと圧倒的なビジュアルクオリティに目を奪われたプレイヤーが多かったと思います。

It is yes, this was one of the ones confirmed in 2016.
Yoshida’s artstyle definitely emanates through, likely through his own influence as he was one of the core members of CyDesignation during its founding, so nijihara probably picked up a lot from him working in-house.

I know a lot of folks dislike actually drawing the contour of the nose structure and simply draw the two dots for the nostrils... and it annoys me greatly. I am not a fan of this design because it makes the character look like they have no nose at all. I get CyDesignation and other folks have largely taken up a minimal nose design similar to this, but it's not my jab. I'm not looking for highly detailed noses, but... more than two dots, please.
