You have no clue what you’re talking about.
We can have a theoretical debate on the proper role for the US govt cybersecurity apparatus in relation to the global internet.
But only if there is global internet that’s up and running.
30 years of previously unknown OS zero day security bugs in every OS imaginable were detected by Mythos…they require time to create and implement fixes on at least the most critical systems before anyone but an incredibly narrow contingent of cleared personnel have full-on access to do ther own pen testing with it.
Just a handful of these CVE’s were so serious that they could compromise enough systems to do ther own pen mother of all DDoS attacks if the full exploits were published and accessible to nefarious actors.
Heavy lies the crown.
No other nation, let alone private entity, has the expertise, infrastructure, let alone perspective to recognize the horrific consequences of attacks that largely could have been prevented AND to do what is necessary for everyone’s best interest.
No internet, logistics chains break down, fuel deliveries slow, food shipments are impacted, some people start to starve, et al.
