🎯 APRIL 6 RECAP — BRETT'S TAILGATE 🎯 Gonna keep it real — yesterday was one of those days where nothing went our way. First time in a while we came away completely empty handed, but that's the grind and we move forward. MLB was the biggest story and not in a good way. Andrew Painter got roughed up for 4 ER in 4 IP on both slates, and the CWS stack on the main slate was brutally quiet — Colson Montgomery went 0-4, Vargas 0-3, and Murakami 0-3. Gunnar Henderson was really the only bright spot with a home run. The After Hours slate was more of the same — the PHI offense had its moments with Harper going 3-4 with 3 RBI and Jo Adell hitting a solo shot, but it wasn't nearly enough to get over the hump. NBA was genuinely frustrating because the lineup was cooking — Jokić went absolutely nuclear and the CLE stack delivered. But when Wembanyama went down with limited production it was tough to recover from. 354.3 pts was a good score that just didn't cash. NHL was mid as expected — Forsberg and Bedard held their own but nobody else really contributed. Just one of those flat late-night slates. We dust off and come back swinging tonight. 💰🔥 🌐 brettstailgate.com — Sign up for email updates! #BrettsTailgate #DFS #DFSRecap #MLB #NBA #NHL #FantasySports #DailyFantasy #BackAtIt

🏀 FANDUEL NBA RECAP (4/05) 🏀 EARLY ONLY — 322.1 FD pts MAIN SLATE — 324.4 FD pts The early slate was the star of the day — Jayson Tatum went off, with Tre Jones, Devin Booker, and Will Riley all delivering big nights. Anthony Gill was a great pickup off the updated lineup and came through. We swept our early slate contests. The main slate had a strong score with Cooper Flagg and LeBron James locked in as our LAL/DAL core, and Luke Kennard was a sneaky gem with a massive stat line. The GPPs didn't cooperate but we took down the 5-person contest and barely squeaked into the money on our 50/50s — so we made our money back and lived to fight another day. ⚾ FANDUEL MLB RECAP (4/05) ⚾ MAIN SLATE — 82.3 FD pts | Top 79% LATE SLATE — 172.1 FD pts | 1st of 3 | $67.50 won 🏆 The main slate was a tough one — Eric Lauer got knocked around early, and the PHI stack went cold with Harper and Schwarber combining for nothing at the plate in a 4-1 loss to Colorado. Kody Clemens and Cedric Mullins were quiet too. Ryan O'Hearn and Oneil Cruz kept it respectable with home runs and RBIs out of the PIT/BAL game, but it wasn't enough to make up for the zero spots elsewhere. The late slate was a different story — 172.1 pts was a strong score but couldn't quite get there in the GPPs. We did find some pay dirt in the smaller contests though, cashing 1st of 3 for $67.50. Drake Baldwin was the star of the show and the HOU stack delivered with Altuve, Correa, and Cam Smith all contributing in a wild 12-10 ATH win. We'll build on this one. 🏒 FANDUEL NHL MAIN SLATE RECAP (4/05) 🏒 89.6 FD pts | Top 52% Went heavy on the NJ/MON game tonight and Montreal just didn't show up — NJ won 3-0 and shut the Habs down completely. Jack Hughes was the bright spot with 30.4 pts, and Linus Ullmark came through with a solid 20 pts in net for Ottawa. Connor Brown chipped in 16.8 pts with a goal, but the rest of the MON stack — Suzuki (1.6), Slafkovsky (6.4), Caufield (4.8), Demidov (3.2) — were all quiet in a shutout loss. The COL defenders (Malinski, Toews) didn't do much either with STL winning 3-2. When your stack gets shut out, it's a tough night. The lineup construction was sound — we just needed MON to show up offensively. ⚾ MLB RECAP (4/4) — ALL 4 SLATES ⚾ A great overall day for MLB — cashed on 3 of the 4 slates and walked away profitable! VERY EARLY ONLY — 136.2 FD pts ✅ Flaherty was a disappointment allowing 5 ER in just 4 IP (15 pts), but the bats carried us. Murakami delivered with 25.7 pts (HR, 3 RBI), Miguel Vargas was solid at 30.4 pts, and Guerrero Jr. added 22.2 pts with a HR. Colson Montgomery and his HR were a nice low-owned value pick at 21.7 pts. Springer and Varsho were quiet at just 3 pts each but the CWS side made up for it. EARLY ONLY — 164.8 FD pts ✅ Christian Walker was the star with 40.6 pts — HR, 3 R, 2 RBI in HOU's 11-0 blowout. Andy Pages exploded for 40.9 pts (HR, 2 R, 3 RBI) and Yordan added 21.7 pts. Connelly Early was a disappointment giving up 2 ER in just 4 IP — BOS lost that one. Henderson and Beavers were quiet on the BAL side. MAIN SLATE — 61.4 FD pts ❌ Tough one. PHI won 2-1 but the bats were completely dead — Adolis Garcia (0 pts), Langford (0 pts), Chisholm (0 pts), Raleigh (0 pts) all went 0-for on the night. Trea Turner was the only bright spot at 18.7 pts. In a 2-1 pitcher's duel the lineup had no shot. AFTER HOURS — 73.1 FD pts ✅ And this one might be the weirdest cash of the year — 73.1 FD pts and we still cashed a solid amount! 😂 Can't say I recall that happening before! Hancock was the anchor with 36 pts (6 IP, 5 K) and Brett Baty was a low-owned gem at 15.4 pts. The SEA bats were completely flat in a 1-0 loss — Raleigh, Raley going 0-for — and the SF side with Arraez and Devers both going cold. Somehow the field was even worse and we cashed anyway. We'll take it! Three cashes on four slates — that's a profitable day! 💰🔥 #MLB #FanDuel #DFS #DFSRecap #DFSWins #FantasyBaseball #MLBFanDuel #BrettsTailgate #DailyFantasy #MLBBetting #FantasyMLB 🌐 brettstailgate.com — Sign up for email updates! 🏀 NBA RECAP (4/4) — FANDUEL MAIN SLATE 🏀 354.1 FD pts! What a night! Wembanyama was absolutely otherworldly — 83.1 pts with 34 PTS, 18 REB, 7 AST, 5 BLK. That's a generational performance and the anchor that made this lineup go. Jaime Jaquez was the other star with 42.6 pts (32 PTS, 4 AST) in MIA's big 152-136 win, and Christian Braun delivered 39.6 pts with a well-rounded 21 PTS, 8 REB, 4 AST, 1 BLK. Cameron Johnson was quietly excellent at 37.9 pts (17 PTS, 7 REB, 2 ST, 2 BLK) and Jamal Murray added 35.8 pts with a 10-assist performance. The MIA stack paid off beautifully — Larsson (30.4 pts), Wiggins (32.9 pts), and Mitchell (24.8 pts) all contributed in the blowout win. The only real regret is the guys we didn't have. Kel'el Ware went off for 69.8 pts and Will Riley had a monster 52 pts — both would have pushed this into elite territory. Hard to complain though! 🏒 NHL RECAP (4/4) — FANDUEL MAIN SLATE 🏒 103.2 FD pts — bottom third finish, couldn't cash on this one. The lineup actually started off hot in the early games. Jakob Chychrun was the standout with 23.2 pts — a goal, 2 shots and an assist in WSH's 6-2 win. Evan Bouchard chipped in 20 pts with a goal and 4 shots, Jackson Blake contributed 16.8 pts with a goal for CAR, and Logan Stankoven added 9.6 pts. Then the 10:00PM games killed us. The ANH stack completely fell apart — Carlsson (18.4 pts) was the only bright spot with a goal, but Terry (4.8 pts) and Kreider (3.2 pts) were quiet in a 5-3 loss to CGY. The real killer was Ville Husso going -4 points allowing 4 goals. When your goalie goes negative it's almost impossible to recover. That single decision likely cost us the cash. We also faded the UTA chalk which didn't pay off — Schmaltz, Keller and Guenther all had solid games and would have made a significant difference to the total. 🥊 UFC RECAP (4/4) — FIGHT NIGHT: MOICANO VS. DUNCAN 🥊 501.8 FD pts — top 40% finish, just missed the cash line on this one. Yakhyaev was absolutely dominant as our MVP — 181.8 pts (1.5X) with 7 significant strikes, 2 takedowns, a submission attempt and a first round win. That's exactly what you want from your MVP slot. Alessandro Costa was the other standout with 124.8 pts — 43 significant strikes, 2 takedowns, a knockdown and a second round win. Moicano also delivered in the main event with 98.6 pts. The rest of the card is really where we went wrong. Melissa Gatto (37.8 pts), Hailey Cowan (30.6 pts), and Tabatha Ricci (28.2 pts) just didn't produce enough to push us over the cash line. Tommy McMillen was the pick we needed and paying up for Yakhyaev as a non-MVP would have changed things too. In MMA DFS the value plays underneath can make or break you — and that's exactly what happened tonight. 🏒 NHL RECAP (4/3) — FANDUEL MAIN SLATE 🏒 131.3 FD pts — top 15% finish, cashing $7 in the GPP and taking down a few 5-person contests! A solid night overall despite the NYI side completely letting us down. The STL stack absolutely carried this lineup. Dylan Holloway was the star with 36.2 pts — 2 goals, 5 shots, and 2 blocks in a dominant 6-2 win. Robert Thomas added 30.6 pts with a goal and 2 assists, and Philip Broberg chipped in 18.1 pts with 2 assists. STL delivered exactly what we needed. The goalie call was the other key decision that paid off. Joel Hofer put up 24 pts with 25 saves in the win — and it turned out to be a massive edge. Both Sorokin and Dostal ended up negative on the night, so picking Hofer was the difference maker in separating from the field. The NYI side was a real disappointment. PHI won 4-1 but our NYI players had nothing to show for it — Bo Horvat (8 pts, just shots and a block), Matthew Schaefer (8 pts), Heineman (1.6 pts), and Zegras (0 pts) left a mountain of points on the table. Foerster was quiet too on the PHI side with just 4.8 pts. Right goalie, right STL stack — that's what kept us in the green. 🏀 NBA RECAP (4/3) — FANDUEL MAIN SLATE 🏀 273.6 FD pts — couldn't keep the hot streak going tonight, but there are some clear lessons to take from this one. The bright spots were Jalen Suggs (43.3 pts, 19 PTS, 9 AST, 4 REB, 3 ST) and OG Anunoby (45.6 pts, 31 PTS, 8 REB, 2 AST, 1 BLK) — both delivered exactly what we needed. Amen Thompson was solid too with 41.6 pts and Reed Sheppard chipped in 30.9 pts. The HOU stack as a whole somewhat disappointed — Kennedy Chandler was the real culprit at just 8.2 pts (2 PTS, 4 AST) despite HOU winning 140-106. Thought he'd have a big night in that blowout but he just didn't get it going. Scottie Barnes was the other major disappointment finishing with 23.6 pts despite TOR winning comfortably — 5 turnovers really hurt his score. Where we really got hurt was the guys we didn't have. Cooper Flagg absolutely went off for 73.7 FD pts — that's a lineup-winning performance we missed entirely. Desmond Bane was another one at 50.9 pts, and even the value plays we passed on like GG Jackson (36.5 pts) and Mitchell Robinson (39.2 pts) would have made a huge difference. On nights like this it's not what you have — it's what you don't have. ⚾ MLB RECAP (4/3) — ALL 4 SLATES ⚾ Four slates in one day and we found green where it mattered! Not our best overall DFS day but the smaller contests and parlays saved the night. VERY EARLY ONLY — 144.1 FD pts Tough one in the big GPP but the lineup had some bright spots. Andy Pages led the way with 34.4 pts (HR, 2 R, 2 RBI) at just 12.9% ownership — that was the right call. Teoscar Hernandez chipped in 25.1 pts and Freddie Freeman added 25.2 with a HR. The TOR stack disappointed though — Jesus Sanchez (0 pts) and Varsho (6 pts) left us wanting more, and Bogaerts was a flat zero going 0-4. EARLY ONLY — 142.2 FD pts Gunnar Henderson was the standout with 34.4 pts (HR, 2 R, 2 RBI) and Bryce Harper delivered 30.9 pts with his HR — which also cashed our SGP parlay! Schwarber added 27.9 pts with a homer as well. The BAL side hurt us though — Cowser (3 pts) and Basallo (0 pts) were quiet, and Josh Smith (0 pts) was a complete no-show going 0-4. MAIN SLATE & AFTER HOURS — 108.5 FD pts ✅✅ Both slates ran the same lineup and both cashed in smaller contests — 1st of 3 ($67.50) on the Main and 1st of 5 ($45) on After Hours! Bryan Woo was the anchor on both with a dominant 43 pts (7 IP, 1 H, 6 K). Bo Bichette was solid with 21.9 pts. The HOU side hurt us — Walker (0 pts) and Correa (0 pts) both went 0-2, and Soto was quiet with just 3 pts despite the Mets winning 10-3. The parlay hits on the Schwarber/Harper HR SGP and the 4-team closer made it a profitable night overall. 🏒 NHL RECAP (4/2) — FANDUEL MAIN SLATE 🏒 169.3 FD pts — top 22% finish, cashing $8! A decent night overall for the NHL lineup. Lost a few of the smaller contests by just a couple of points which was frustrating, but we still found green. Ryan Hartman was the standout with 33.6 pts — 2 goals and 5 shots in a 5-2 MIN win. Kaprizov added 28 pts with a goal, 5 shots, and an assist alongside him in the MIN stack. Podkolzin came through with 21.6 pts at just 8.1% ownership — a goal, 3 shots, and 3 blocks as the low-owned EDM piece. Jordan Spence chipped in 16 pts with an assist and 3 blocks, and Quinn Hughes added 17.6 pts. McDavid was a bit of a letdown at 19.7 pts — 7 shots and an assist but no goals in a 3-1 EDM win. He's capable of so much more. The only real disappointment was Celebrini who put up just 6.4 pts despite SJ winning 4-1 over Toronto — just one of those quiet nights where the production didn't follow the result. A couple more points in those smaller contests and it's a much bigger night — that's hockey. 🏀 NBA RECAP (4/2) — FANDUEL MAIN SLATE 🏀 325.3 FD pts — top 8% finish, cashing $200! 💰 The NBA lineups stay hot — cashed everything we entered last night! The POR stack was the right call as Portland put up 118 points and our guys feasted. Deni Avdija led the way with a monster 52.1 pts (26 PTS, 7 AST, 8 REB, 2 ST, 1 BLK) and was the anchor of the lineup. De'Aaron Fox was outstanding with 45.1 pts (22 PTS, 8 REB, 5 AST, 3 ST) and Daniss Jenkins quietly put up 43 pts (26 PTS, 8 AST, 5 REB) at modest ownership. Toumani Camara (37.3 pts), Ayo Dosunmu (36 pts), Julian Champagnie (33.6 pts), and Derik Queen (35.7 pts) all did their part — truly a team effort across the board. The only real disappointment was Donovan Clingan who got into foul trouble early and had his minutes limited, finishing with just 19.8 pts. With a full game he had monster upside — but the rest of the lineup made up for it easily. Another reminder of why we trust the process and stack the right games! 💰🔥 #NBA #FanDuel #DFS #DFSRecap #DFSWins #FantasyBasketball #NBAFanDuel #BrettsTailgate #DailyFantasy #NBABetting #FantasyNBA 🌐 brettstailgate.com — Sign up for email updates! ⚾ MLB RECAP (4/2) — SINGLE GAME & MAIN SLATE ⚾ A tough day on the MLB side, but we'll take the small wins where we can get them! SINGLE GAME (MIN @ KC) — 20 FD pts 😬 This one was a big disappointment. We went 5-deep on the KC stack with optimal hitting conditions and an attackable pitcher — the setup was perfect on paper. The Royals just didn't show up. Minnesota struggled for most of the game too, but found their power stroke late with 3 home runs in the 9th to pull away and make it a 5-1 final. Sometimes the chalk just doesn't hit, and this was one of those nights. MAIN SLATE — 109.5 FD pts ✅ Not our best lineup but we squeezed out a 1st of 3 finish and cashed $67.50! Robbie Ray was the star with 37 pts (5 IP, 7 Ks, Win) and Michael Harris II chipped in 19.2 pts. The ATL bats were mostly quiet despite a 17-2 blowout — Carroll (0 pts) and Ketel Marte (0 pts) were the main culprits. A reminder that sometimes the best lineups don't always cash, but smaller contests can bail you out even when your lineup isn't firing on all cylinders. 🏒 NHL RECAP (4/1) — FANDUEL MAIN SLATE 🏒 151.7 FD pts — and just like the MLB early slate, the smaller GPPs led the way to profitability last night! Came in 1st of 5 in our $25 contest, taking home $110, and found green in a 19-person $33 contest as well. The big GPP was just out of reach but the smaller entries kept us in the green on the night. Macklin Celebrini was the star of the show — 48.5 pts with 2 goals, 4 shots, 2 assists and a block. At 80% owned he was the obvious anchor and he delivered. Sam Malinski was the real gem though, quietly putting up 36.8 pts with 2 goals, 2 shots, an assist and a block at just $4.9K — tremendous value. Devon Toews chipped in 17.6 pts with 2 assists and MacKinnon added 23.2 pts with a goal and 7 shots. The disappointments were the SJ side of the lineup — Toffoli (1.6 pts) and Kreider (6.4 pts) were quiet, and Necas (6.4 pts) never got going despite the shots. Neighbours was a zero on the STL side and Binnington gave up 2 goals in a loss, limiting his ceiling. We leaned hard into the COL stack and Celebrini saved the night. The process is working — smaller contests keeping us profitable while we chase the big ones! 💰🔥 #NHL #FanDuel #DFS #DFSRecap #DFSWins #FantasyHockey #NHLFanDuel #BrettsTailgate #DailyFantasy #NHLBetting #FantasyNHL 🌐 brettstailgate.com — Sign up for email updates! 🏀 NBA RECAP (4/1) — FANDUEL MAIN SLATE 🏀 345.9 FD pts — top 7% finish! 💰 What a night for the NBA lineup! Tatum and Paul George were the stars of the show — Tatum went off for 67.1 pts (25 PTS, 18 REB, 11 AST) and George was right there with him at 63 pts (39 PTS, 6 AST, 5 REB, 3 ST). Those two alone carried this lineup to a cash. Maxey was solid as expected with 44.9 pts, and the real gem of the night was Pelle Larsson at just 5.8% ownership — 38.6 pts with 18 PTS, 6 AST, and 3 steals. That's exactly the kind of low-owned value that separates lineups in GPPs. KAT quietly put up 45.7 pts with a monster 20/11/11 triple-double. The IND value did its job — Kam Jones (24.7) and Quenton Jackson (22.6) gave us the salary relief we needed to fit the studs. Vukcevic looked primed early but didn't get the minutes to fully capitalize — frustrating but the right call at the time. Only real disappointment was Tre Jones at 15.9 pts, but with the rest of the lineup firing it didn't matter. ⚾ MLB RECAP (4/1) — EARLY & MAIN SLATE ⚾ Yesterday wasn't our best day on the MLB lineups, but it's a prime example of why playing smaller contests and 50/50s matters — the early slate cash is what kept us pretty much break even on the day. EARLY SLATE — 110.4 FD pts ✅ Our biggest entry fee of the day cashed in a 5-man contest, finishing 2nd and taking home $150! Drake Baldwin carried the lineup with a massive 29.2-pt effort — 4 RBIs on the day. Taylor Ward (16 pts) added a nice 2-RBI performance alongside him. Chris Sale anchored the pitching with 34 pts. The chalk — Henderson and Acuna — just didn't deliver on the night. MAIN SLATE — 108.7 FD pts The PHI and TOR stacks had great matchups on paper but just didn't wake up. Matthew Boyd was a stud (50 pts, 10 Ks!) but Stott (0 pts), Okamoto (3 pts), Springer (3 pts), and Guerrero Jr. (3 pts) left a lot of points on the table. Harper's HR gave us 18.7 but it wasn't enough to overcome the quiet bats across the board. 🏒 FANDUEL NHL RECAP (3/31) 🏒 141.2 FD points and another cash — the NHL lineups are on a bit of a hot streak right now and we'll keep riding it! 💰🔥 The WPG stack was the engine tonight. Scheifele (26.1) with 3 assists and Kyle Connor (26.4) with a goal and an assist both delivered in a WPG road win. Iafallo (8.5) was quiet but the top two more than made up for it. The NJ stack was a mixed bag. Connor Brown (18.9) came through with a goal, but Jack Hughes (6.4) was a massive disappointment with just 4 shots and no points in a 4-1 loss. Luke Hughes (14.9) at least chipped in with an assist. Jordan Spence (18.4) was a great value play — a goal and 4 shots in FLA's big win. McDavid (16.8) did his thing with a goal in EDM's shutout win. The one that hurt was Jet Greaves (4.8) — 26 saves but gave up 5 goals in a loss. Needed one more save to make that a real night. 🏀 FANDUEL NBA RECAP (3/31) 🏀 278.9 FD points on the night — and this one is a perfect reminder of why we always play the 50/50s alongside the GPPs. 💰 The GPPs didn't come through on the night, but every single 50/50 cashed. That's the bankroll management approach that keeps you profitable long term. You don't always need the big GPP hit — the consistent 50/50 cashes are what build the foundation. The lineup was loaded with big performances. Ryan Rollins (45.9) was an absolute monster — 24 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds in MIL's blowout win. Cooper Flagg (44.5) continued to impress with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 steals. Kyle Kuzma (41.7) was a sneaky star with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. Ousmane Dieng (35.5) quietly put up a huge game with 11 points, 5 assists, 10 rebounds, and a block. Brandon Miller (33.7) delivered 25 points for the CHA stack. Brandon Williams (22.4), Knueppel (21.4), and Hart (19) all did their jobs. Gafford (14.8) was the one disappointment as he got injuried. 🌐 brettstailgate.com — Sign up for email updates!
