And on top of that, that stupid leg he put on the toilet bowl cover won't lay flat with the hinge because there's bowls in the way.

Bootcamp is longer.
I do my own work of several trades and yes competently, not DIWhy. Its one thing to do new builds, and a whole other beast when you inherit, doing repairs and upgrades.
Heavy equipment is a combination of several complex systems. electromotive, hydraulic, electrical/electronic, etc. Not to mention the sheer forces and weights you are dealing with.
