NOW THE HACKER REAPPEARS AND THREATENS TO RELEASE INFORMATION ON UP TO TWO MILLION CUSTOMERS OF UENO BANK AND MUV
Following the massive data leak on August 14, which targeted one of Paraguay's largest banks, the alleged hacker who posted private customer information on the dark web has reappeared and published on forums what appears to be data (full name, phone number, email address, and an unknown code) of users who used Ueno in the last 24 hours. He accuses Ueno Bank of lying about the data breach and claims that everything has been stolen. He claims to have hacked both Ueno Bank and the travel services company MUV, which also belongs to the Vázquez Group, stealing travel information from the app, credit card numbers, driver's license information, and other sensitive datadaily. He even claims to have “selfies” of customers for identity verification and threatens to continue releasing private customer information on a daily basis. It says that Ueno Bank did not accept the proposal it “offered” to settle the matter and that they made a counteroffer of “only” USD 100,000. What happens next?
