You don't have to reach out to NIBSS The registrar of a company is in charge of dividends payment. So reach out to bamboo, also reach out to Datamax registrar (Datamax registrar is responsible for paying dividends to shareholders whose name appear on the registrar before the dividend qualification date)

It's dividend season, so we prepared a guide to help you navigate your specific registrar with no stress. For example, DataMax Registrars is the contact point for GTCO holders, and you can find all their details, as well as other Registrars in our guide⬇️ learn.investbamboo.com/why-y…

How to set up your E-Dividend so your dividends land in your account and not in the void. 🧵 Let me tell you something many first-time investors don’t know. You can buy shares today.
Hold them for years.
See the company announce dividends. And still receive nothing in your account. Not because they didn’t pay.
They paid. Your money is just sitting somewhere unclaimed and you may not even know it exists. This is the reality for thousands of Nigerian investors. So let’s fix it. First, what is a dividend? When a company makes profit, it can share part of that profit with shareholders. That payment is called a dividend. It is different from capital gains. Capital gains = your stock price increasing.
Dividend = actual cash paid to you. So yes, your shares can make you money in two ways. Now here’s the important part: Your broker does NOT pay your dividends. Whether you use Bamboo, Trove, Meristem, Risevest, or any other app, dividends are paid by the company’s Registrar. A Registrar is the company responsible for shareholder records and dividend payments. That’s why your shares may be on an app, but your dividend follows a different process entirely. To receive your dividend directly into your bank account, you need something called an E-Dividend Mandate Form. Without this form, your dividends may remain unclaimed. Here’s how to set it up: 1️⃣ Get the E-Dividend Form
You can get it from:
• Your bank branch
• SEC Nigeria website
• The Registrar’s website Examples:
• Africa Prudential → UBA, BUA Cement
• Datamax Registrars → GTCO
• Coronation Registrars → Dangote Cement 2️⃣ Fill in your details
You’ll need:
• Your full name
• CSCS/CHN number
• Bank details
• BVN
• Signature What is a CSCS number? Think of it as your investment identity number in Nigeria. It links all your shares across different brokers and registrars into one record. 3️⃣ Submit the form
You can:
• Submit through your bank
OR
• Send it directly to the Registrar Once processed, future dividends go straight to your bank account automatically. No chasing.
No paper warrants.
No stress. And if you’ve owned shares for years without receiving dividends? Good news:
Unclaimed dividends can still be recovered through this same process. You’ve already done the hard part by investing. Don’t let your dividends go unclaimed. Share this with someone who recently started investing on the NGX.

Yes, the NGX Group (NGXGROUP) has already been marked for the 1-for-3 bonus share offer. Based on the corporate action announcement for the 2025 financial year, the critical dates were as follows: Qualification Date: April 10, 2026 Closure of Register: April 13, 2026 What this means for you today: Ex-Bonus Status: Since today is May 7, 2026, the stock is already trading "Ex-Bonus." This means that if you buy the shares now, you are no longer entitled to the 1-for-3 bonus issue. Price Adjustment: You likely noticed a sharp adjustment in the share price shortly after April 10. When a stock goes ex-bonus, the market price is mathematically adjusted downward to reflect the increased number of shares in circulation, though the total value of the company remains the same. Portfolio Impact: If you held the shares as of the close of business on April 10, your registrar (DataMax) will credit your CSCS account with the additional shares once all regulatory approvals are finalized. Quick Dividend Reminder Along with the bonus, the group declared a final dividend of ₦2.00 per share. Payment Date: This was scheduled for April 29, 2026 (following the AGM). Status: If you qualified for the bonus, you should have also received this dividend payment via your e-dividend mandate by now. Asked Gemini. The price went down steeply around 13th April to like 127 or so, before am gradually appreciating

In Nigeria, major registrars include: Veritas, Greenwich, Meristem, CardinalStone, Africa Prudential, DataMax, Cordros. Each company uses a specific registrar. You need to know yours to track payments and update your bank details. Cowrywise shows who your registrar is in-app under the "dividend history" of each stock.

You see how Datamax was able to pay out GT dividends without any major issues? I don’t expect the same story for Veritas! The people at Veritas are built different, they may prove me wrong sha, but I am sticking to my past experience.

@datamaxreg, @gtbank :Good morning Datamax. Last year I sent several mails complaining about not having received my GTBank dividends since 2021, and this matter has still not been resolved. I have not received the outstanding dividends (2021 till April 2025). What should I do?
