Until 1989, Germany 🇩🇪 was divided. While some believe in the law of the strongest, the 2 4 Agreement built on the courage of demonstrators in East Germany & used the strength of law & diplomacy to pave the way for German Unity. #DayOfGermanUnity - a day to celebrate!

We celebrate German reunification in 1990 which followed the fall of the #BerlinWall, a year earlier.
The desire for freedom, democracy, the #RuleOfLaw & respect for #HumanRights made this possible.
These are the values Europe is about 🇪🇺
