Here's the truth about the latest "update" to OpenAI's o3-mini models: it's not really an update at all. It's just a more elaborate summary of what was already there, and it's misleading to call it an enhancement. What's worse, this chain of thought (COT) summary is actually detrimental. You can't use it to debug your prompts effectively, and it might even make things more confusing. We deserve transparency, not deceit.
