Space Def is starting to formalise. Dedicated DefSat 2026 like inititives catalyze doctrine fleshing, constellation builds & denial/resilience mirroring China's orbital "Great Wall." Gaps exist in full air-space doctrinal integration & scaled pLEO, but momentum via DSA, IACCS/IDS extensions & budgets finally show some materialisation. Broad focus on resilient constellations—52 🇮🇳ISR sats by 2029 (China has 360 )—and counter-space denial, emphasising pLEO architectures for anti-jam PNT & burst comms.
Creation of four new entities - Defence Geo-Spatial Agency, Data Force, Drone Force and Cognitive Warfare Action Force - central to the armed forces vision 2047. Divides transformation into 3 phases - the first till 2030. Operationalistion of Sudarshan Chakra in 2030-40.

DefSat 2026 reaffirmed the growing strategic importance of space in shaping the future security architecture. Convening #600 delegates from over 14 countries, 90 distinguished speakers, and #30 exhibitors, the conference served as a critical platform for advancing dialogue, partnerships, and operational readiness across the defence-space ecosystem. From #IndSpaceXWargame4.0 and the signing of six strategic B2B MoUs, to the unveiling of the CUBESAT 101 global training initiative and the release of a Cyber Security Framework for Space by CERT-In and SIA-India, the event highlighted the increasing convergence of space innovation, cybersecurity, and defence preparedness. As the space domain becomes increasingly central to national and global security frameworks, DefSat will continue to serve as a key platform for fostering collaboration, advancing strategic thought, and shaping the future of secure space operations. #DefSat2026 #SpaceSecurity #DefenceSpace #StrategicDialogue @OfficialCLAWSIN | @NITIAayog | @SpokespersonMoD | @GoI_MeitY | @GeM_India | KickSky Space Lab| @iceye_global | @AnanthATL | @SAFRAN | @viasat | HEX20| Times Microwave Systems| @GlenairUK | @chipspirit | @SkyServe_AI | TANTRAYUT TELECOMMUNICATIONS PRIVATE LIMITED| @OCryogenics | RDVW SATCOM SOLUTIONS| Agmatel India Pvt Ltd | Sanyark Space | Raamtel Solutions Pvt ltd | @GalaxEye | SPACELABS ANALYTICS & DYNAMICS | Geminus Space | @AuleSpace | @XdlinxSpaceLabs | Cosmoserve Space | @ElenaGeoSys | @PixxelSpace | @RIGOL_Tech | Aiila Innovations | @AnilPra28432993 | @RGambhir | @IndianCERT |

DefSat 2026 was a meaningful few days for us. @thesuyashsingh, our Co-Founder and CEO, joined defence and policy leaders to explore how partnerships, joint missions, and shared capabilities in space are strengthening resilience across the Indo-Pacific. Alongside the panel, Dr Deb Jyoti Pal, Sr. VP – Business Development and Kanav Katyal, Lead – Compliance (Technologies), engaged with visitors at our booth where we showcased a model of Mission Drishti and had in-depth conversations on fused, all-weather Earth Observation and its operational relevance. We value the opportunity to contribute to these evolving dialogues as India strengthens its space-based capabilities. @SIA_Ind #GalaxEye #MissionDrishti #DEFSAT2026 #IndoPacific #SpaceSecurity #IndianSpaceTech #DefenceInnovation

Just attended the EU-India Defence & Space panel at DEFSAT 2026 today “From Industrial Cooperation to Strategic Alignment to Industrial Collaboration” Key takeaways that stayed with me: - Last 10 years built solid trust and groundwork between Europe and India in space - Both sides share the exact same mission: peaceful, sustainable, innovation-driven and strategically autonomous - Next 10 years can deliver real results by aligning regulatory standards, adopting common interoperability standards, and building a practical framework for joint procurement Governments have signed the big initiatives. Now we need clear, startup-friendly roadmaps so companies can actually execute. The next decade could turn this into a proven industrial partnership. What are your thoughts on EU-India space collaboration? #DefSat2026 #IndiaEU #SpaceCollaboration #DefenceSpace #SpaceTech

3/8 Each regiment will consist of eighteen launchers, 432 missiles, radars, and command vehicles (6). Yet a lesser-known innovation sets these regiments apart because every vehicle’s software architecture supports plug-and-play upgrades. During DEFSAT 2023, DRDL scientists hinted that this open software stack could one day accommodate counter-UAV payloads and jamming pods, which is a level of flexibility still rare in comparable systems (7).
