No one usually looks at a freeway and says "art." But when you go down underneath a long overpass, such as this one on I-75 south of downtown Detroit, Michigan, near the Delray neighborhood, the leading lines turn what looks ordinary into something somewhat mesmerizing!

These are the nights when I think back over my seven and a half years in commercial real estate.
I recognize a very select number of nights where I was "in the lab" as Sebastian Kressley and I call it, thinking about how to elevate in this business.
Nights like this are not always the same.
Some nights are more deep work nights, where I'm writing six LOIs.
Some nights are on prospecting or setting up my next prospects or researching. Some of these nights I'm sitting with one of our teammates talking about our goals but then also getting work done together.
Nothing beats collaboration in person, which is why I make it a point, whenever I travel, to try to see the guys on their team.
We have teammates in Charlotte, South Florida, Philadelphia, Dallas, and Tulsa. It's so important to me that we see each other as much as possible.
