Text to Image Fails: Potential Trademark Infringement in AI-Generated Luxury Cars In a recent series of tests on the theme "Hypothetical Luxury Car" and Nordic Models, AI produced quite impressive images. These images showcase the remarkable potential of AI in visual creation. However, significant problems arose: The generated cars bore a striking resemblance to real luxury brands such as Jaguar, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, and Mercedes. These similarities carry the risk of trademark infringement and could lead to legal consequences. The root of this issue lies in the way AI models are trained. They learn from a vast amount of data, often containing images and designs of well-known brands. When tasked with creating something new, the AI relies on these learned patterns. In this case, the AI produced vehicles similar to known luxury brands, identifying them as typical examples of "luxury cars." To avoid such difficulties in the future, it's necessary to train AI models more selectively. They should better distinguish between generic and brand-specific designs.
