A3) I liked the tip about plotting concepts on a “time to master” vs. “usefulness once mastered” grid.
There are so many things we _could_ teach, so it’s helpful to have a system for prioritizing what will have the highest impact.

I tried out @supabase for the first time last week, and it was a great DX! Hooked it up to a React app super smoothly.
Shoutout to the team there for a great docs/onboarding experience! 🥳
A2) I love a good Think-Pair-Share! As a student, I need that moment to collect my thoughts before I have to share with the group. And as a teacher, the Pair stage a good time to circulate and listen in to see if students are following or confused.
I want to reveal the process of writing a patch - that patches don't just emerge from the ether to land into a repository, but that it involves a lot of reading code and just trying stuff out. 2/2.
Thanks for the shout-out, Greg!
To be clear, one of my main motivations for doing this is to reveal the struggle that goes into writing a patch - the wild goose-chases, false trails, trial and error, etc. 1/2
Agreed, I like when the folks in chat influence the direction of the stream! It feels more like a conversation & less like "I know all the things, listen to me talk at you"
A1. I used to live code for 100 students everyday and it was stressful 😅 I’ve also live coded on Twitch streams a few times. Those were less stressful because my cohost @nickytonline was always helpful and fun. #DevEdBookClub
