Small teams do not need 50 dashboards.
Start with 4 signals:
- latency
- errors
- traffic
- saturation (CPU, memory, DB connections)
This improves stability and also prevents expensive overprovisioning.
Which one do you monitor properly today?

Want repeatable savings? Do a 30-minute monthly cost review.
Agenda:
- top 5 services and MoM change
- biggest increases and why
- idle list and storage cleanup
- safe rightsizing list
- commitments coverage
- tagging coverage
- 3 actions with owners and due dates

Commitments can reduce cloud cost, but only when used at the right time.
Good time to commit:
- stable prod baseline
- cleanup and rightsizing done
- visibility is clear (tags dashboards)
- you can forecast 6 to 12 months
Bad time:
- spiky workloads
- non-prod
- workloads changing soon
Are you currently using any commitments?

You can do cost allocation without making it complicated.
Simple model:
- split by environment (prod vs non-prod)
- split by product/project
- mark shared costs (networking, logging, security, CI)
- allocate shared costs using % spend, headcount, or traffic share
How do you currently split shared cloud costs?
