I just finished $100M goated ads playbook (one of the black ones by hormozi)
here are 5 most important insights I found and could be pretty useful if you run ads (we do for our clients):
1. It doesn't matter how well your ads are performing, you must always keep testing new angles. People think they're saturating their markets after a certain amount of adspend whilst all they're doing is not testing new angles frequently. No market is completely saturated EVER. You're just not trying out new ways of getting their attention. In the playbook Alex tells the story of how his friend was recording new ads just once a month and alex recommended to start recording at least 500 new angles every month. That led to doubling his friend's company revenue in just 2 quarters.
2. Your target market is divided into 5 types of audiences: most aware, product-aware, solution-aware, problem-aware, completely-unaware. Your ads start profitably when you target the most aware audience (warm), then depending on how good the creative is, the colder the traffic it can convert. The higher up the pyramid it can scale.
3. When you're mass producing ads, in each recording session - record 50 different hooks, 3-5 variations of meat (body) & 1-3 variations of CTAs... this'll produce 150-750 NEW ADS EVERY WEEK (considering you're recording every week)
4. If you want immediate results, focus on producing hooks based on previous winners - this could be from your own ads, from your free content, from other people's ads, other people's free content or even platform-specific ad libraries. Your most aware audience needs offer-driven hooks. Your product-aware audience needs proof-driven hooks. Solution-aware audience needs promise driven hooks. Problem aware audience needs pain driven hooks. Completely unaware audiences needs curiosity driven hooks.
here's a b2b example of a marketing agency called Digital Boost:
i) Most Aware: “DigitalBoost: Now offering social media management at 20% off for new clients"
ii) Product-Aware: "See how Digital Boost increased ROI by 150% for 5 different industries"
iii) Solution-Aware: “Double your online sales in 6 months with our data-driven marketing strategies"
iv) Problem-Aware: "Is your website getting sales? You might be missing these crucial elements"
v) Completely Unaware: “The unexpected way your business is losing $1000s each month in untapped revenue"
pro tip by hormozi: record the wildest hooks possible - "Memes or meme-like content attract the largest percentage of your audience. If you target a narrower group than “everyone,” then they will have their own culture-specific memes you can advertise with in much the same way. A relevant meme for a specific audience works like a moth to a flame. It will explode the number of eyeballs exposed to your ad. Consider testing them. I certainly do."
5. when it comes to the meat (body) and CTA - focus on establishing as much trust as possible give them only a simple CTA that doesn't make them think too much.
