❗️❗️BOSA is launching a nationwide petition to change the electoral system & allow for DIRECT ELECTION OF THE PRESIDENT OF SA. The President is currently elected by Members of Parliament, with the ruling party’s majority often determining the outcome. This system means that ordinary citizens do not directly choose the country’s leader. Instead, the party leadership selects a candidate, who is then endorsed by Parliament.
