In Bihar's capital, Patna—just 4 km away from the State Assembly—people are suffering terribly in this scorching heat, unable to survive even 5 minutes without electricity. Despite registering multiple complaints, the DISCOM provides power for barely 30 minutes before cutting it off again. As evident in the image 1000175343.jpg, complaints like SSU15062601874 and SSU16062600374 are merely being endlessly escalated from one higher officer to another, with zero permanent resolution on the ground. Yes. It's the total cost to the discom/total power billed that gives the number. Interest payments should be part of the calculation.

No alarm clock. No commute. No boss. No ceiling on your income. That life is available. It just costs 12 months of discomfort.

Without private buses and private DISCOM companies, the current state run companies will continue to incur losses, funded by tax payers. Except for a few, State shall work on alternatives to reduce these losses and one of the ways is private run buses and private DISCOMs.
