it's about uniqueness guarantees and data corruption, apparently a hard distsys problem. but we may do something to ease that pain a bit anyway

So someone isn't missing much if they have never worked at bigtech in many cases.
Now ofc there are exceptions. Some of the best minds I have come across in distsys are from FAANG. Maybe because the exceptional problems in that domain only occurs at FAANG scale.

Я в районе distsys, и это дизастер в смысле приминимости LLM. Он относительно простые случаи не разруливает. Потом тыкаешь мордочкой, получаешь «you are absolutely right». Круды норм пишет, конечно, и линейные алгоритмы.

If a service is drowning, don't throw it more lead. Use exponential backoff jitter, or better yet, open the Circuit Breaker and fail fast.

Rust is great for building dbs, drivers, etc. But the ceremonies it imposes has diminishing return for distsys & writing agents. Probably that's why Go won the distsys space.
That said, everyone is writing "X is the best PL for agents" articles.
