WHEN GOD IS BEHIND YOUR PROBLEM
We are often taught that every problem is from the devil. We rebuke, we bind, and we cast out but sometimes, the situation doesn't budge.
Take note that not every storm is an attack from the enemy; some storms are divine interventions. Sometimes, the "problem" you are fighting is actually a tool in the hand of God. Understanding why God might be behind your struggle is the first step toward your breakthrough. Why does this happen:
1. A Problem is to Redirect You
God sometimes allows a "hedge of thorns" to block your path because the road you are on leads to destruction. Like Jonah, who faced a Great Fish and a violent sea, your "problem" might be God’s way of turning you back to your true assignment.
"Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights." (Jonah 1:17)
2. A Problem is to Refine Your Character
Gold cannot be purified without heat. God may allow a season of "pressure" not to break you, but to melt away the pride, impatience, or self-reliance that hinders your growth. The fire isn't there to consume you; it’s there to make you shine.
"Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction." (Isaiah 48:10)
3. A Problem is to Reveal His Glory
Sometimes, God allows a situation to get "hopeless" so that when the solution comes, no human being can take the credit. If the problem is too big for man, the testimony will be all about God.
"Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him." (John 9:3)
4. A Problem is to Humble and Prove You
God led the Israelites through a "terrible wilderness" filled with thirst and scorpions. Why? Not because He hated them, but to test what was truly in their hearts before He gave them the Promised Land.
"Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness... that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end." (Deuteronomy 8:15-16)
Stop Fighting, Start Inquiring: Ask, "Lord, what are You teaching me?" instead of "Why is this happening?"
If God is the architect of the trial, only God has the key to the exit. Trust His Intentions even when He allows the "problem," His end goal is always to do you good.
Declare this to align with God's purpose:
"I declare that I will not waste my season of trial! I recognize that God is working even in my discomfort. I submit to His refining fire and His divine redirection. I am not being destroyed; I am being developed. Every 'problem' in my life right now is a servant to my purpose, and I shall come forth as gold!
In Jesus name, Amen."
